1. A Shoe Seller.

Today, I had a long day at work.  So, i decided to take a walk just get relaxed. And then most extraordinary thing happened when I was out on this walk.

I saw an old man who was selling second-hand shoes. He must be around 70 years old. He seemed tired & nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came and said “Grandfather, may I polish your shoes?” That old man took pity on her, smiled and he gave her a  shoe to polish.

The girl said, “I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform.”

I heard this and tears came to my eyes. The old man answered, “Oh, little girl. Just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy you a uniform.” Then they walked to a market (I followed behind) and he bought her a uniform.

The girl was so happy.  Then she left, leaving the old man smiling.

I was blown away by the kindness I had just seen.  Someone who had so little themselves was able to show such incredible generosity! Amazing!

5. Helping a Needy

Abdul Quadir Saifee realised the importance of food because of the recent happened with him in Mumbai. An incident that showed him what hunger and starvation look like. He decided to donate the food to the needy person instead of throwing it away. His friends also joined for this act of Kindness.

He narrates, “We were walking on the sidewalk at 2 am and asked if anyone wanted food. At that very moment 4-5 people sprang from sleep and asked for the food and started eating quickly, we were startled that just now these guys were sleeping and now sprang to life. They were hungry and went to sleep empty stomach.

My mind went numb on the spot, before this, I had never seen anyone like that. It left a lasting impression on me….Have never thrown food since that day. Whatever the time of the day I have gone out and made sure that someone will have that food.”
